Avelina and Lina, dressmakers by profession, and grandmothers of the founder and promoter of the Avelinas project, knew how to radiate in their grandson the love for fashion and sewing. Sergio provided them with ideas for making changes and reusing old garments that they adapted to create new ones in keeping with current trends. This is how he learned sewing tricks that would later be used to form the seed of what today is Avelinas.
Seeing that these garments had great popularity among his friends and colleagues, he decided to make it more than just a way of dressing different from the others, who could only get access to the multinational offer that crowds every shopping street in any city.
The Avelinas Vintage concept was born in the London second-hand clothing markets, where Sergio bought clothes that he readapted and sold through eBay. Years later, and with a clearer business vision, he decided to return to his homeland, Tenerife and create Avelinas Vintage, which today has positioned as an international reference in vintage fashion.
